"The Good People are that lost soul of Hip Hop. they bring you a flavor of when it was OK to just be in Hip Hop and be selling something in Hip Hop. I love listening to their music. It is grown folK Hip Hop for all ages." -- MC Serch

The Good People, consisting of The Saint (Producer) and Emskee (Emcee), is a perfect blend of soulful classic hip-hop with meaningful lyrics. Some call it "Throwback music." Others have called it "Grown Folk Hip Hop." The Good People call it hip-hop that comes from their soul and would like to share it with listeners that are otherwise forced to listen to music they cannot relate to. Come listen to what hip-hop has been missing.

Emskee, originally from Teaneck, New Jersey now resides in the lower east side of Manhattan. He is known to many as a highly respected DJ in New York and around the World. He spins at many New York hot spots such as APT, Joe's Pub, Table 50, Union Square Lounge and Black Betty to name a few. In 2002, HBO sent Emskee on a West Coast DJ tour to promote the stateside debut of the Ali G Show. He also had the perverse pleasure of spinning for the J-Lo Swimwear Tour in association with MTV. In 2001, he toured the Americas as the featured DJ with Latin fusion band King Chango. For the past seven years, Emskee has been the host of a bi-monthly dance classic special, The Rare Radio Show on WBAI 99.5. He has been a headliner on the Underground Railroad Show (also on WBAI) since 1999 and this past year, the program was named "best radio show" by the New York Press. Emskee has also been written about in XXL, Time Out New York, The Observer, New York Magazine and the Daily News. Emskee got his start in the music industry in the early 90's, when his homemade mix tapes, produced by underground hip-hop legend Nick Wiz and featuring turntablist DJ Slice, found their way to the airwaves in the hands of New York radio's most iconic DJ's such as Red Alert, Kid Capri, Funkmaster Flex and Stretch Armstrong/Bobbito Garcia. He can also be heard showing off his emcee skills on various projects for groups like The Together Brothers and Boca 45.

The Saint was born and raised on Long Island. He began rhyming at the age of 12 and began to produce on a serious level at age 17. In his early twenties he attended an audio engineering school, which landed him a job at 7heads record label doing studio work. While there, he slipped some tracks to the higher-ups at the label and they were immediately impressed. He was then given production jobs for artists such as J-Live, Kon and Amir, Wordsworth and Unspoken Heard. With the success of those songs he was then asked to do his first solo album, the critically acclaimed Grown Folk Music. It was a hip-hop soulful house fusion project that had guest appearances by Mr. Man, Grap Luva, Tiombe Lockhart, Vinia Moijica, Reggie Watts and others. A couple years after that release, he put out a mix CD entitled Variety Hour which was mixed by DJ 3D and was a collection of his remixes and past work. So far in his already impressive career, he has worked with and produced for artists such as El Da Sensei, Momentan, Travis Blaque, Mr. Complex, Prince Po, Dumi Right, Kool Kim, Cadence, Muneshine and many others.
