Honestly, he had me at the "Reggie Intro". The pace of the album is instantly shown here as its followed by the upbeat "Thats Were I Be". The official single "Defjammable" puts any non believer in place as Redman's signature sound layers the track; and by that I mean Dr. Trevis' voice and the funky bass. But don't be fooled by moments of nostalgia. Redman also manages to successfully keep up with the times and subtly comforms to "todays" sound. "Full Nelson", "Lift It Up", "Lite 1 Witcha Boi" and my personal favorite, "Mic, Lights, Camera, Action" are examples of this. Features on the album include notables like longtime running mate Method Man, Bun B, Kool Moe Dee, Faith Evans and more.
With that said, Reggie is what you can expect from any Redman album; bass heavy tracks, bugged out lyrics and overall fun. Redman makes a statement with this one and it says, "I'm here to stay". Check out Reggie today and support the artist.
