Efficacy Series brings you Episode 43 w/ Jazz/soul singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Melanie Charles "Stripped" as an outlet for vocalists to let loose, create, ego's left at the door - just bare essence.
Vocalists get to workshop new songs, re-work and re-interpretations of standards and find creative and innovative musicality - furthermore- a comfort zone and learn more about their musicianship.
Melanie Charles since studying Jazz and composition at an early age feels that a lot of singers don't know the mechanics or actual techniques or structure behind a song- not being able to transpose to another key or give direction to a musician in 'musical' terms. There's a real problem here and basically a lot of musicians feel like Vocalists can be tough- Diva's and not know how to interpret--- Thus 'Stripped'- a new vocal jam weekly is here to help!
