Average-ish: A few nuggets, but could be better.
3.0
Dwele has maintained longevity in the game for his creativity (his previous albums play out like a storyline), his gift with production, and his musical inclination (he plays a variety of instruments). His latest release, W.ants W.orld W.omen, doesn't deviate much from what has worked for him in the past. Ear-grabbing tracks include: Dodgin your Phone (featuring David Banner), Dim the Lights (featuring Raheem Devaughn), Hangover, and My People (which speak on the current hardships so many of us are facing today in this troubled economy). On I Understand, Dwele attempts to affirm that he knows just what women are looking for, but his interpretations of what they want from this world are cliche and a bit sketchy. Although this is not his strongest release, Dwele has accumulated enough loyal fans who will more than appreciate his latest offering.
