Above average: Not too shabby, commendable effort
3.5
Cilla K. has managed to sneak up on us under the radar as alot of indie artists do. This debut album, which is an impressive onslaught of controlled jazz melodies and pop tempos, defines her as an artist.

From the jump, the title track Fine Line feeds us retro soul over HipHop production and speaks on the ever popular cliche. Ultimately an excellent upbeat song to start things off. Throughout the album Cilla takes us through a variety of motions that include tracks like Connected where she talks about her attraction and familiarity with someone and Evil Child referencing the deceptive and bad intensions of a significant. Production on the album is limitless, subtly fusing jazz, soul and a heavy hiphop influence

This album lays a great foundation to what can be a flourishing discography. Cilla K's input as a vocalist and beatmaker definitely shines on this work as she presents fifteen tracks of love, life and everything in between. Check it out and support the artist.
