I remember hearing Trina Broussard's version of this song on the Love Jones soundtrack a few years ago, and not being able to recall who sang the original. Then I heard Chanté Moore's version and still couldn't remember who sang the original. Earlier today I was rummaging through my music collection and this track came on and immediately I remembered who sang the original. Her voice is so unique and unmistakable it made me ashamed of not being able to remember that this was her song. The remakes were good, but the original is still miles ahead...
