The younger brother of super producer Madlib is definitely emerging from his older siblings gigantic shadow. I first really got into Oh No after hearing his 2007 release Dr. No's Oxperiment. Ever since then I've been seeing his name in the production credits of several really good records including Mos Def's latest release The Eclectic. This album is similar to Madlib's Beat Konducta Vol 3-4: Beat Konducta in India, except Oh No uses samples from Ethiopian music exclusively. Good stuff. Would be interesting to hear some folks try to actually rock on some of these beats.
