Jovi Rockwell
Psycho Therapy

Initially I wasn't very impressed with Jovi Rockwell, because she sounded quite frankly, like a Reggae version of M.I.A. or Santigold. I thought super producer Diplo was just rehashing a formula that had tremendous success. However upon closer inspection I came to the realization that the Jamaican singer/songwriter is the real deal. The mixtape is the first real release from her and shows her versatility. There are straight dancehall tracks like "Killin Dem" and "Rizzla". But there are also nods to older Reggae music with tracks like "Your Gonna Need Me" and "Can't Stop". I'm not sure who her target audience is, but Reggae lovers will definitely enjoy this one.
