So the word on the street is Lil' Wayne is headed to jail to serve a one year sentence for gun possession charges. Like so many other rappers, his sentence is being reduced to 8 months instead of one year. Call me a hater but I'm a little irritated with these celebs getting a pat on the back for crimes that you or I would spend alot longer in jail for committing. I normally oppose to the judicial system making examples out of people but what does it take for men and women in the public eye to use common sense.

Next up is this "Russian Roulette" song by Rihanna. I would love to see her replace her dark mysterious looking wardrobe with some sunflowers. True, she always looks fashionably fierce but she looks sad, depressed or even in mourning.  To add insult to injury she released a song about committing suicide or playing with one's life.*Side Note* Maybe artists should see who their core audience is before releasing songs.

Thanks to Rihanna, a bunch of already dramatic high schoolers are going to be singing about something they have no business talking about.

Last, while listening to the Tom Joyner morning show this week, Tom and the gang were talking about Chris Brown & R. Kelly. They said that they refused to play any songs by Chris Brown but loved R. Kelly's new song. While they may have been joking, that type of mindset is alive and kicking in the heads of many people who still support R. Kelly but want nothing to do with Chris Brown. I don't agree with what either of these two men did or the fact that they put themselves in a situation to be charged with the crimes they faced but I am no one's judge or jury. Furthermore, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Either I'm going to support them both or not at all.
