There are very few artists that are as consistent as Meshell Ndegeocello and Devil's Halo extends her streak. This realease is more soulful than her previous, with a lot of slow almost ballad like tracks being included. My favorite is probably "White Girl", probably because this was the first track from the album that I heard. "Love You Down" and "Bright Shiny Morning" are other stand out tracks on an album with very few flaws.

If you're not familiar with her work this is a good place to start, but make sure you work your way backwards as well.
