I finally got my hand on a digital copy of this album last week, and it's as good as I expected. Kimberly Nichole is technically a Soul singer, but to classify her sound as simply Soul would be incorrect. They're a lot of Grunge Rock influenced tracks here, probably a result of her growing up in the state of Washington, which is know for just that. The Yellow Brick Journey straddles the line between both genres expertly. This is a great pick up for lovers of either genre.
