Amazing was the word that came to mind after Jocelyn Ellis & The Alpha Theory walked off the stage at The Delancey on October 3rd. About 35 minutes earlier in the night they had walked on stage to a slightly warmed up crowd. Some people were milling around, and others were talking to each other. The moment they started to perform that all came to an end. All eyes and ears were focused on the stage, even the door attendant abandoned her post to get a closer look at who was performing. I can't tell the last time I saw any performer of any age, control the crowd the way that she did. Everybody present felt like they had been witness to something truly special. We caught up with her the next day to discuss the performance, their future plans, inspirations and more.
