One third of the group Sa-ra, Shafiq Husayn recently released his first solo project. It's not as futuristic as a Sa-Ra release and depending on who you ask that can be either a good or bad thing. The album is very consistent throughout and is somewhat a mix of Electronica and Soul. It has a few artists sprinkled throughout such as Bilal and Jimetta Rose that give stellar performances, but the music is definitely the star of this project.
