Fast forward a few weeks later and I finally got a copy of the completed album. I took a look at the credits to see what I was in for... I saw tracks produced by: 9th Wonder, Havoc, Marco Polo, Ill Mind, Khyrisis and Black Milk. Impressive, very impressive. I kept reading and saw guest appearances by: Talib Kweli, Mary J Blige, Melanie Fiona, K'naan, Phaorahe Monch, Smiff & Wessun, Sean Price, Bounty Killer and others. More than impressive, this was an all-star cast.
I stopped reading and immediately started listening, and just as I'd hoped KRS-One no longer sounded like an outdated MC. In fact he drops the best verses on a lot of the tracks. All in all this is a fantastic project, I would go through the merits of my favorite tracks, but that would take way too long to do. A few of the tracks were so-so, but the vast majority are definitely bangers. A must have album for any real Hip-Hop head. Like KRS-One said "You haven't heard a Hip-Hop album like this in a while".
