Most people may remember Novel for the single "Peaches" he had a few years ago, that was released through Rawkus Records. But he's more than just a singer, he's a songwriter and MC as well. Suspended Animation is his latest offering and showcases his many talents. It features appearances by Ghostface, Papoose, Joel Ortiz and others, but my favorite appearance is by Ced Hughes. I'd never heard about Ced Hughes before but his verses on the title track were amazing. This is a well balanced offering containing equal parts Soul and Hip Hop. It definietly has me looking forward to future offerings from Novel.
