Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, the home of grunge rock and rock music legend Jimi Hendrix, Kimberly Nichole's style of music definitely is influenced by the Washington sound. However it's foundation is soul music, the kind of soul music that touches you and accurately conveys whatever emotion it is she'd like you to feel at that moment. She has an extremely powerful voice and the rare ability to control, contort and mold it as she sees fit. These physical attributes coupled with her outstanding song-writing ability makes Kimberly Nichole a rising star in the soul music world. She has opened for artists such as Janelle Monae, Dwele, Bilal, Eric Roberson and much more. We spoke with the Harlem, New York resident after a very entertaining show to discuss her new project, her influences and more.
