Phonte - The Hardest Working Man in Showbiz
67
In light of the digital release of The Foreign Exchange’s second album Leave it All Behind I chose to deliver a quick note to pay homage to one of music’s hardest working men in show-business.  That was a title that for years belonged to the late great James Brown, and since then many have laid claim to it.  Most times it’s somebody who is all over the radio, with three videos on TRL, but I am talking about a man who does it without all the lights, hits it hard and produces high quality work at the same time, Phonte Coleman aka Phonte of Little Brother.

He may fall under the radar because he isn’t all over TV like Diddy, and tabloids aren’t chasing him around like Jay. That doesn’t change the fact that in the span of roughly 6 months all the while still touring with Rapper Big Pooh as Little Brother, he has dropped two dope albums Zo!And Tiggalo Love the 80’s!, the aforementioned Leave it All Behind and hosts my favorite podcast Gordon Gartrell Radio.  He isn’t just Phonte of Little Brother, that Phonte is a rapper/emcee crowd mover, Tiggalo is a crooner, and with the Foreign Exchange dude is a balladeer.  He also plays the role of love doctor/psychologist on GGR.

On top of all of the musical efforts dude is a father too, and he “thanks white Jesus for giving him boys”.  Tigallo keep doing what you do, we appreciate it.
