Okay, now that's out of the way let's talk about the album. Feedback is J5's first foray into uncharted territory, Cut Chemist is completely absent and Nu-Mark attempts to establish his own sound. While not as polished as Cut Chemist, Nu-Mark shows that he has great potential, by unabashedly reaching in new directions. Sometimes this results in brilliance, but at times it appears to fall short on a few tracks, as it seems that some of the production may not be the best for J5's brand of Hip-Hop. Lyrically this album is on par with all of J5's earlier work giving you a non-MTV/BET sound with either positive messages or playfully retro, lyrical sparring. Stand out tracks are: “Future Sound” a perfect execution of the new J5 sound, “Where We At”, classic J5 featuring Mos Def and “Canto De Ossanha”, a beautiful instrumental. All in all not a bad album. Hopefully they will continue their foray into experimentation with even more success in the future.
