More college educated emcees from Chicago on the mic,
hitting you in the head with potent lyrics. So let's see
there's Common, Kanye, Lupe and now Kidz In The Hall,
evidently if your an emcee and have anything important
to talk about, Chicago is the place to be.
Both Ivy
League educated (yes they graduated) these young men
have took it upon themselves to attack the rap game just
as that, educated black men. They took the formula that
got Kanye in the door and perfected it, killer lyrics,
hot beats, great delivery and charisma.
The first
offering from the duo, (I say first because
hopefully it will be the first of many.) is more than
solid, with both carrying there weight equally, with
lyrics and delivery. They both sound like seasoned vets
rather than first timers, the album is also well put
together, not a single popish, radio song anywhere in
site. If there is any flaw with the body of work it's
the times when they sound like they're trying to imitate Kanye,
which is definitely not necessary as both are
better emcees than there Chicago brethren flow wise and
lyrically.
